“In American Cowboy Music today there are precious few writers who could be called visionary”

Ryan Murphey, American Songwriter Magazine.

Kenn Lee from Breckenridge Colorado forges his own brand of Cowboy/Western music styles, blending the translucency of folk artists like James Taylor and David Wilcox on Songs like “Back to West Texas” and “A Cowboy’s Heart.” with the kind of buckaroo imagery found in traditional cowboys songs. Kenn’s recent album “The Long Way Home” co-produced by Della Mae’s Courtney Hartman features Hartman on Lead Guitar and adds a touch of bluegrass to his new sound. Lee’s Dulcet tones set the atmosphere for his contemporary stories of cowboy life, out on the range. His songs are set in Colorado, Texas, Kansas and California. He sings about ranches, horses rode, horses lost, love, family and the characters he’s met, the stories of life.

Kenn has had many spotlight performances as an opening act for Waylon Jennings, Michael Martin Murphey, Warner Western artist Tim Ryan, Michael Johnson, Cowboy Celtic and as a performer at the famed Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. He was an invited performer at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko Nevada. Kenn has also been featured on Equestrian Legacy Radio, and the Ranch Rhymes Podcast featured on Nevada Public Radio.
